As a result of the storms on 7th August, the alley has been flooded to a depth of about three feet. It seems likely that it will be out of commission for a long time.
If anybody has any updates on the situation or suggestions about what the hell we can do on Tuesday nights please post them here.
Awaiting insurance assessment on alley flooding. Unable to do anything until they have seen the damage.
Before I left on holiday I swam across the alley and rescued the frame which was floating, the pins and pulled out all the planks that made up the run. All have now dried sufficiently to be used again.
Tom and I have drained out much of the water that was in the pit including all the major life forms that had accumulated over the two weeks it had been left.
Let you know more after insurance assessors.

Psalms 74:15 Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
Is the pub also closed, as the loos are downstairs ?
and whose insurance is it ? Ours or the pubs ?
As for Tuesdays they are not the same !
Please provide info a.s.a.p.
Desperately lacking a chuck,

Peter 3:2-7
'By the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world then existed perished, being flooded by water.'
The alley is still drying out.The Ark is open and the animals are coming out two by two.
Two stickers, two chuckers, two chalkers, two drinkers, two tossers and two absolute tossers.
The pub is open and the downstairs carpets are being replaced.
I am not sure where the three feet of water came from.
On the evening of the downpour the pub called me and there was 3 inches at most covering the whole downstairs area. Obviously this meant parts of the alley were deeper-the run and the pit for example, but even then three feet seems a little deep to me.
The insurance is the pubs, as the alley is part of their premises.
Don't know how long they will take to reach a decision, and Sarah is away for a month from next week. The whole of the chipboard floor and lino covering will need to be replaced before we can start looking at replacing the planking in the run and, after turning the frame, replacing that into its rightful position.
Will keep you informed. Guy
